The incident occurred in the evening hours in the Girmana neighborhood of Hekimhan district. According to allegations, an argument that started between brothers I.Y. and H.B.Y. over a mulberry tree quickly escalated into a knife and gun fight.

F.Y. and H.Y., the children of I.Y., went to the home of H.B.Y. and fought with their uncle, H.B.Y.

During the fight, F.Y. and H.B.Y. were injured by gunfire, while H.B.Y.'s daughter, T.Y., was also injured by stray pellets.

Upon notification, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the area.

The injured were taken to Hekimhan State Hospital after initial intervention at the scene. The injured, who were taken under treatment there, were later transferred to Malatya Training and Research Hospital.

An investigation has been launched into the incident, where gendarmerie teams have taken security measures at the scene.
