In the Pendik district of Istanbul, a landslide occurred at a construction site following rainfall. As the slide also affected the garden of the adjacent residential complex, a 9-story apartment building in the complex was evacuated as a precaution.

The incident took place in the evening hours on Baysal Street in the Ahmet Yesevi neighborhood. Allegedly, the ground at the construction site located in front of the residential complex softened due to rain, leading to a landslide.

Upon notification by residents who noticed the situation, police, municipal police, and AFAD teams were dispatched to the area. The teams set up a security cordon and ensured the evacuation of those living in the apartment building.
Covering work was carried out on the ground to prevent rainwater from increasing the slide. It was reported that security measures are continuing in the area.
