Landslide in Yüksekova: Village's connection to the city severed
A landslide has occurred in the village of Onbaşılar in the Yüksekova district of Hakkari. As a result of the landslide, the village's connection to the city has been severed.
According to the information obtained, the incident occurred during the night on the road to the village of Onbaşılar, located on the Iranian border, 30 kilometers away from the district center. Following rainfall during the night, soil and rock fragments broke off from the mountain and descended onto the road.
The road, which was closed to vehicle traffic due to the landslide, caused the village's connection to the city to be severed.

Village headman Husret Şen, who is awaiting assistance from authorities to clear the road, stated, "While the onset of intermittent rainfall has negatively affected life in the region, unfortunately, a landslide has occurred on our village road, causing it to be completely blocked. Currently, our village road is closed. We are calling on the authorities and expecting work to be done to open our road. As the village headman, I will be following the situation."
