Letter from man who killed his girlfriend and committed suicide emerges

The incident occurred on the evening of April 19, around 20:00, at a residential complex in the Huzurevleri neighborhood of the Çukurova district. It is alleged that Engin Yüce (31), who reportedly had psychological issues, argued with his girlfriend, Şevval Çiftçi (23), at home for an unknown reason.

During the argument, Yüce killed his girlfriend with 10 stab wounds using a knife he took from the kitchen, and then ended his own life by jumping from the 12th-floor apartment. A 6-page letter written by Engin Yüce has emerged.

"DO NOT SEE ME AS A BRUTAL KILLER"

In the letter he wrote, Engin Yüce said, "I never thought I would record something like this and die at this age. Life is very, very strange, especially for me; it has always been that way.

Please do not see me as a brutal killer; I am never such a person, and I never have been. Everyone who knows me closely or from afar knows this. I am a good-hearted and friendly person. I am someone who has never hurt an ant in my life, someone who does not even throw trash on the ground, and someone who has never harmed people, the environment, or animals," he said.

"MY POLICE BROTHERS, INVESTIGATE THESE EVENTS"

Yüce wrote, "Please, my police brothers, from all security units, for the sake of God, the only thing I ask is for these events to be investigated and for all the individuals whose names I will provide to be caught.

Because I was already barely living before these events. Now they have made it impossible for me to live at all," he said, listing the names of people he claimed had conspired against him.

In his letter, Engin Yüce stated, "I am not a murderer; I don't even have a criminal record. They messed with everything I have. I tried to forget, but it didn't work. They even messed with my honor," he expressed.
