Major fire at the historic Kemeraltı Bazaar in İzmir
A two-story textile warehouse in the historic Kemeraltı Bazaar in İzmir was engulfed in flames. The fire was brought under control by numerous firefighting teams dispatched to the scene. Cooling efforts have begun at the warehouse.
The fire broke out in the evening at a two-story textile warehouse located on Veysel Çıkmaz Street in the historic Kemeraltı Bazaar.
Citizens who saw the warehouse engulfed in flames reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center.

SIGNIFICANT MATERIAL DAMAGE OCCURRED
While the smoke covering the sky was visible from meters away, numerous firefighting teams were dispatched to the address upon notification.

As a result of the efforts of the firefighting teams, the flames were brought under control and extinguished. There were no injuries reported, and cooling efforts have begun following the fire, which caused significant material damage to the warehouse.

It was learned that the investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
