Man dies after cat hair enters his lung
A man known for his fondness for stray animals in the Sapanca district of Sakarya has passed away in the hospital where he was receiving treatment, reportedly due to an infection that developed after cat hair entered his lung.
Okan Diköz (55), who resided in the Yanık neighborhood of Sapanca, was a well-known and beloved figure in his community for his care for stray animals, in addition to the cats he kept at home.
Diköz, who sought medical attention about 10 days ago complaining of shortness of breath, was found through examinations to have had cat hair enter his lung, which led to an infection.

Okan Diköz, who was placed under treatment, could not be saved despite all medical interventions.
The funeral of Diköz, known for his animal-loving identity, was laid to rest at the Yanık Kurtköy Neighborhood Cemetery following the funeral prayer held at the Sapanca Yanık Neighborhood Central Mosque.
