Man kills ex-wife and child with a shotgun, then commits suicide
In Istanbul's Arnavutköy district, a man who had a restraining order against him went to his ex-wife's home, killed his child and his ex-wife with a shotgun, and then took his own life. Another child who was in the house during the incident survived by hiding behind a sofa.
The incident took place in the Boğazköy neighborhood. According to the information obtained, Davut Gökkaya, who had a restraining order against him, arrived at the home of his ex-wife, Türkan Gökkaya.
After a short while, the individual opened fire on his ex-wife Türkan Gökkaya and his son Emin Gökkaya (18) with a shotgun he had brought with him, and then shot himself with the same weapon.
Upon hearing the gunshots, local residents reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Service.
Police and medical teams were dispatched following the report. Examinations determined that the mother, her son, and the perpetrator had lost their lives.

On the other hand, it was learned that A.G., who was in the house during the incident, survived by hiding behind the sofa.
The police investigation at the scene is ongoing.
