Man opens fire with a shotgun at the business where his girlfriend works
In the Bodrum district of Muğla, an individual, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, opened fire with a shotgun at the business where his girlfriend works. While no one was injured in the incident, the moment of the attack was captured on security cameras. The suspect was taken into custody and subsequently arrested by the court.
The incident occurred in front of a business located on Turgutreis Street in the Cevat Şakir neighborhood. According to the information obtained, police teams dispatched to the area following reports of random gunfire recovered and secured 4 empty cartridges at the scene.
An investigation determined that shotgun pellets had struck the entrance door of the business.
In the footage captured by the workplace's security camera, the moments when the armed attacker opened fire on the business with a hunting rifle were recorded second by second.
The footage shows the attacker fleeing the area after firing the shots.
In the investigation conducted by police teams, it was determined that the person who carried out the armed attack was L.A. The suspect was apprehended and taken into custody on Halilim Street.
It was learned during the investigation that the suspect had a romantic relationship with a woman working at the business, that he carried out the act due to a disagreement, and that he was heavily intoxicated when apprehended.
L.A., who was referred to the courthouse after his procedures at the police station, was arrested by the court and sent to prison. It was reported that the investigation initiated regarding the incident for the crimes of "intentionally endangering general safety" and "property damage" is ongoing.
