The incident occurred in the Kemerçeşme neighborhood of the Osmangazi district. It is alleged that there had been an ongoing dispute between car dealer Zafer Yılmaz and his partner, Banu Özdağ, who operates in the construction sector, due to a debt issue. The disagreement, which was reportedly caused by checks and promissory notes totaling approximately 20 million liras, ended in bloodshed today.

According to the allegations, as the argument between the parties escalated, Zafer Yılmaz fired at Banu Özdağ's head with a handgun he was carrying. While Özdağ lost her life at the scene, Yılmaz then held the same weapon to his own head and pulled the trigger.

Following reports from bystanders who heard the gunshots, a large number of police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Medical teams determined that both individuals had lost their lives. While crime scene investigation teams conducted extensive work in the area, the prosecutor's office has launched an investigation.

Police investigations into the incident, which has left their loved ones in mourning, are ongoing.
