Man who ruptured woman's eardrum with a slap released
A suspect who attacked a woman entering a grocery store with her dog in Küçükçekmece has been released under judicial control measures. The Küçükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has appealed the court's decision.
On September 30, on Hürriyet Street in the Cennet neighborhood of Küçükçekmece, a male customer in a grocery store allegedly warned a female customer who had entered the store with her dog to take the dog outside.
As the argument escalated, Muhammed A. assaulted the woman, identified as G.A., by punching her, causing her eardrum to rupture. Police teams arriving at the scene upon notification took the suspect, Muhammed A., into custody.
Following the completion of procedures at the police station, the suspect was referred to the Küçükçekmece Courthouse in the morning hours.
After the completion of prosecution procedures, Muhammed A. (58) was released by the court with a 'travel ban' measure.
The Küçükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has filed an objection to the individual's release.
