In the Şahinbey district of Gaziantep, one worker lost his life and another was critically injured after a marble block fell on them at a building materials store.
The incident occurred at a workplace on Halep Boulevard in the Küçükkızılhisar neighborhood. According to allegations, the marble block, weighing several kilograms, fell on the workers during operations.
Upon notification by other workers to the 112 Emergency Call Center, health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the area. During the checks performed by the teams, it was determined that Syrian national Yusuf Hacşeh El Ahmed had lost his life.
Hüseyin G., who was critically injured, was taken to the hospital after receiving initial intervention at the scene. The body of the deceased worker was taken to the Gaziantep Forensic Medicine Institute morgue after the completion of investigations at the scene.
A comprehensive investigation into the incident has been launched.
