Mayor's brother dies due to tick bite
68-year-old Mehmet Bakırhan, who was bitten by a tick in the Çamoluk district of Giresun, has passed away at the hospital where he was being treated.
In the Çamoluk district of Giresun, 68-year-old Mehmet Bakırhan, who was bitten by a tick 10 days ago, was taken to Erzurum City Hospital.
Bakırhan, who was receiving treatment at the hospital for Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF), lost his battle for life.
Mehmet Bakırhan, who was also the brother of Çamoluk Mayor Ergün Bakırhan, was laid to rest in the family cemetery following the funeral prayer held in the district's Dulundas neighborhood.
