Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Aras and Menteşe Mayor Gonca Köksal had moved up their wedding, originally scheduled for April 6, due to the CHP's decision to hold an Extraordinary Congress on that same date.
Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Aras and Menteşe Mayor Gonca Köksal surprised everyone by holding their wedding ceremony on April 1, having moved the date forward due to the CHP's decision to hold an Extraordinary Congress, and were married at the Menteşe Konakları Cultural Center.
In a post shared on his social media account, Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Aras stated:
"Today we are experiencing one of the most special days of our lives. We have united our lives with a wedding ceremony held in the presence of our family at the Menteşe Konakaltı Wedding Hall.
We sincerely thank everyone who shared our joy on this happy day.
Together, in love and solidarity, we will continue to build a more beautiful future.
