Due to the heavy rainfall and adverse weather conditions affecting Istanbul, operating hours on several rail system lines have been extended. According to the statement made by Metro İstanbul, services on 10 metro, 3 tram, and 2 funicular lines will continue until 02:00.
The metro lines with extended service hours were announced as M1A Yenikapı-Atatürk Airport, M1B Yenikapı-Kirazlı, M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman, M3 Bakırköy-Kayaşehir, M4 Kadıköy-Sabiha Gökçen Airport, M5 Üsküdar-Sultanbeyli, M6 Levent-Boğaziçi University/Hisarüstü, M7 Yıldız-Mahmutbey, M8 Bostancı-Parseller, and M9 Ataköy-Olimpiyat.
Services on the T1 Kabataş-Bağcılar, T4 Topkapı-Mescid-i Selam, and T5 Eminönü-Alibeyköy tram lines, as well as the F1 Taksim-Kabataş and F4 Boğaziçi University/Hisarüstü-Aşiyan funicular lines, will also operate until 02:00.
The statement also reported a technical failure on the M9 Ataköy-Olimpiyat Metro Line. It was stated that services on this line are continuing between the Çobançeşme-Olimpiyat stations, while transportation between Ataköy-Çobançeşme is being provided by free IETT buses.
