Fire on the Metrobus: Smoke rose, passengers evacuated
A fire broke out in the engine compartment of a Metrobus in Avcılar. Passengers were evacuated in a short time, and the fire was extinguished by officials.
The incident occurred around 16:30 in the direction of the İBB Social Facilities - Avcılar. According to the information obtained, a fire broke out in the engine compartment of the Metrobus as it approached the station.
Due to the fire, the passengers on the Metrobus were evacuated.
Police, fire department, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. After the intervention of the fire crews, the fire was extinguished and cooling efforts were carried out. There were disruptions in Metrobus services due to the fire.
The moments when smoke rose from the Metrobus were recorded by a citizen with a mobile phone camera.
Following the completion of the cooling efforts, the Metrobus was towed from the scene by an İETT tow truck. The work carried out by the fire crews was also captured from the air.
The disruption in Metrobus services caused by the fire later returned to normal.
