Missing police officer found dead on the beach
A police officer who had not been heard from for two days in Giresun has been found dead on the beach.
According to the information obtained, relatives of police officer Osman S., who served in the Giresun Provincial Police Department and had not been heard from for two days, reported the situation to the relevant authorities. Citizens who noticed a person lying motionless in the sea along the Fevzi Çakmak neighborhood coastline in the evening hours notified the 112 Emergency Call Center.
Upon the report, health, police, and fire department teams were dispatched to the scene.
As a result of the teams' efforts, it was determined that the person pulled from the sea had lost their life. Examinations revealed that the deceased was police officer Osman S., who was serving at the Giresun Provincial Police Department.
Giresun Provincial Police Chief Ferhat Akbaş and numerous police officers also arrived at the scene. Following the public prosecutor's investigation at the scene, the body of Osman S. was taken to the morgue for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
It was stated that after the procedures there, he would be sent to his hometown of Vakfıkebir in Trabzon.
On the other hand, the possibility that police officer Osman S. may have committed suicide due to family problems while in the process of a divorce is being investigated.
