Mother abandons 3-month-old baby in park and flees
In the Çorlu district of Tekirdağ, a mother identified as G.K., who abandoned her 3-month-old baby in a park and fled, has been released by the court under judicial control. The baby has been taken into protective custody by the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services.
In the Çorlu district of Tekirdağ, a mother identified as G.K. left her 3-month-old baby with a person sitting on a bench at Gaziler Park in the Cemaliye neighborhood and then fled the scene. G.K. told the person she left the baby with that the father would come to pick the child up. After no one arrived for a long time, B.İ., who was sitting on the bench, reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center.
HEALTH AND POLICE TEAMS DISPATCHED TO THE SCENE
Upon the report, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The health teams took the baby to Çorlu State Hospital by ambulance for a health check. Subsequently, the baby was handed over to the Tekirdağ Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services and taken into protective custody.
TRAILS FOLLOWED VIA CAMERAS
The police examined security cameras in the area to find the baby's mother. After an investigation lasting approximately one hour, it was determined that the person who left the baby was G.K. G.K. was taken into custody.
RELEASED AFTER JUDICIAL PROCEEDINGS
Following her processing at the police station, G.K. was referred to the courthouse. The court before which she appeared decided to release G.K. under judicial control conditions.
