According to the information obtained, a woman named S.C. slit the throat of her 2-month-old baby in a house in the Kitirler neighborhood of the Gerede district.

Leaving her baby covered in blood, S.C. quickly fled the scene and disappeared.

The fleeing mother was caught in a neighboring district

Upon the notification of citizens in the area, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. In the initial check performed by the health teams arriving at the address, it was determined that the unfortunate baby had lost its life.

The lifeless body of the tiny baby was taken to the hospital morgue following the work of the Public Prosecutor and crime scene investigation teams.

Police teams, who took action to apprehend the perpetrator of the incident, the mother S.C., launched a large-scale search operation in the region.

As a result of the pursuit, the suspect S.C. was caught and taken into custody by security forces in the Yeniçağa district.

A large-scale investigation has been launched into the incident.
