Mother who killed her daughter claims 'inappropriate behavior' as defense
In the Akhisar district of Manisa, a mother who strangled her daughter with a cable following an argument and subsequently turned herself in has been arrested and sent to prison. In her statement, Rabia Ö. said she killed her daughter because she found her behavior inappropriate.
The incident took place in the Akhisar district of Manisa. According to the information obtained, the mother, Rabia Ö. (42), strangled her daughter, Cemile Bilen (19), with a cable in her room following frequent arguments.

Rabia Ö., who waited by the body for a while, later called the police to turn herself in. It was learned that Rabia Ö., whose police procedures have been completed, has psychological issues and had previously attempted suicide 3 times. In her statement, she reportedly said that she frequently fought with her daughter, who worked at a shopping mall in the district, due to her inappropriate behavior, and that she strangled her daughter in a fit of rage on the day of the incident.

It was learned that Rabia Ö. waited for 18 hours after killing her daughter, Cemile Bilen, and then called the 112 Emergency Service to report the situation.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
