New details in husband-and-wife murder: It started over burning trees
New details have emerged regarding the incident in the village of Yaylaözü in the Akçakent district of Kırşehir, where a husband and wife were killed. It was learned that the argument broke out over the burning of pine trees, and the nephew who shot and killed his uncle and aunt has been captured.
According to the information obtained, the incident occurred last night in the village of Yaylaözü. R.K. (63) and his wife E.K. (62) argued with their nephew, H.D., over the burning of pine trees in the village.
As the argument escalated, the suspect, in a fit of rage, opened fire on his uncle R.K. and his aunt E.K. with a handgun he had at home. Upon notification by those nearby, health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene.

Health teams determined that the couple had lost their lives at the scene. It was determined that the suspect had fled to Kırıkkale. Teams from the Gendarmerie Criminal Investigation Team (JASAT) attached to the Kırşehir Provincial Gendarmerie Command determined that the suspect was hiding in Kırıkkale. As a result of a short pursuit and operation, the individual was captured and taken into custody.
