NGOs take action after numerous dogs found dead
The discovery of dead dogs in Niğde within a one-week period has prompted the HAÇİKO Niğde Provincial Representative Office to take action.
Mehtap Özdemir, the provincial representative of the Association for the Protection of Animals from Desperation and Indifference (HAÇİKO), stated that stray dogs in Niğde were being poisoned to death. Asserting that the dogs did not die of natural causes, she called on the relevant institutions to handle the matter with sensitivity.

In her statement, Özdemir said, "The latest incident in a systematic brutality and massacre recently identified by animal-loving citizens took place in İnönü Neighborhood.

Those that remained after others were killed with firearms in the same place previously are now being killed by poisoning."
