Number of aftershocks within one hour announced
Following the 6.1 magnitude earthquake in the Sındırgı district of Balıkesir, 26 aftershocks, the largest being 4.2, were recorded in the district as of 23:34.
According to the statement by AFAD, a 6.1 magnitude earthquake occurred in the Sındırgı district of Balıkesir at 22:48.
Following this earthquake, the first aftershock occurred at 22:50 with a magnitude of 4.2, and a total of 26 aftershocks were recorded in the district by 23:34.
While 3 of the aftershocks that occurred in Sındırgı within approximately 1 hour were recorded with a magnitude of 4 or higher, earthquakes with magnitudes of 4 occurred at 22:51 and 4.2 at 23:04.
It was determined that the depths of the earthquakes varied between 5.1 and 23.88 kilometers.
