According to the information obtained, the incident occurred during work carried out at the lime kiln at the Turhal Sugar Factory, which is affiliated with Kayseri Şeker. The 45 people affected by the gas were taken to the hospital by medical teams and placed under treatment. Stating that the condition of 35 people affected by the gas is good, while 10 are in moderate condition, Köklü said, "One of our patients, who we were informed was in very poor condition, has been taken off intubation. Their condition has also returned to a moderate level. There is no cause for concern at the moment."

10 people will receive advanced oxygen therapy

Stating that the transfers to Sivas were for precautionary purposes, Köklü said, "8 of our patients have been transferred to Sivas Numune Hospital, and 2 more will go. A total of 10 people will receive advanced oxygen therapy. The transfers are being made for precaution and observation, not because of any danger," he said.
