Opened fire to attack his rival, wounded 5 people
In Çorum, an individual who opened fire with a gun at a rival in a coffeehouse shot 5 people. While 2 of the wounded, who were taken under treatment, remain in critical condition, their families who arrived at the hospital suffered nervous breakdowns.
The incident occurred in the evening hours on Damat Şükrü Street in Fatih Avenue, Ulıukavak Neighborhood. According to the information obtained, H.C.S. came to the coffeehouse and opened fire with a gun at a person with whom he had a feud. The bullets fired from the individual's weapon struck S.K. (56), B.Ö., I.Y., O.Z. (23), and Ş.M.S. (58), who were in the coffeehouse. While the 5 people who were shot were wounded, H.C.S. fled the scene.

Citizens who witnessed the incident reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon the report, numerous health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. S.K., B.Ö., and I.Y., who received initial intervention by the health teams arriving at the scene, were taken to Erol Olçok Training and Research Hospital, while O.Z. and Ş.M.S. were taken to a private hospital in the city. While 2 of the wounded who were taken under treatment remain in critical condition, the relatives of the wounded who arrived at the hospital suffered nervous breakdowns.

Following the incident, police teams took security measures in the area and conducted investigations. Çorum Provincial Police Chief Arif Pehlivan also arrived at the scene and received information from the teams.
It was learned that the police teams' efforts to capture the attacker who fled the scene are ongoing.
