Ordu-Sivas highway closed to traffic due to snowfall
The Ordu-Sivas highway has been closed to traffic due to heavy snowfall and blizzard conditions.
As snowfall intensified in the evening hours, transportation from the Mesudiye district of Ordu toward Sivas became impossible.
Drivers experienced difficult moments, particularly in the Iğdır Forests area, due to the increasing snow depth.
It has been learned that teams from the Ordu Metropolitan Municipality, Mesudiye Municipality, the General Directorate of Highways, and the police are continuing their efforts to reopen the road to traffic.

In the higher parts of the district, snow depth reached up to 40 centimeters. While teams are intervening in power outages occurring in some neighborhoods, it was also learned that access to some highland roads could not be provided.
