Paint factory fire extinguished in a short time
A fire that broke out at a paint factory in the Kestel district of Bursa has been extinguished. One firefighter and two other individuals affected by chemical fumes were transported to the hospital by 112 emergency ambulances.
Following chemical measurements conducted by AFAD teams in the village, it was reported that there was no need to evacuate the residential area.
According to the information received, a fire broke out at a paint shop in Erdoğan Neighborhood around 21:30. As the fire grew rapidly, explosions occurred from time to time. Numerous fire crews from the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department, including units from Kestel, Gürsu, and İnegöl, extinguished the fire in one hour.

An AFAD team was also dispatched to the region. The teams, along with firefighters, conducted chemical measurements in the village and around the factory. One firefighter and two citizens affected by the odor were taken to the hospital by 112 emergency teams.

Due to the combustion of solvent chemicals in the paint shop, the possibility of evacuating Erdoğanköy was brought to the agenda.

It was noted that after the measurements made by AFAD teams, this was deemed unnecessary. The Gendarmerie has also launched an investigation into the fire.
