Panic on passenger ship off the coast of Marmara Island
Panic broke out on the passenger ship named Sun Princess, which was sailing off the coast of Balıkesir's Marmara Island, after an announcement was made that a person had fallen overboard. Following the incident, Coast Guard Command teams launched a search and rescue operation in the area.
A Spanish passenger on board shared on their social media account, "An announcement was just made over the megaphone that a man fell overboard; it feels like a horror movie. The boats have been deployed, divers are out, and we are all on our balconies. No one can sleep because of this situation."

The same passenger stated that chaos erupted on the ship following the announcement, saying, "People were running around in fear, losing their way. We don't know if the person jumped themselves or if someone pushed them. It is said to be a crew member. We were supposed to arrive in Istanbul tomorrow morning at 07:00, but we are currently searching the area where the fall occurred."
While the investigation into the incident continues, it has been learned that Coast Guard teams are continuing their search efforts.
