Peace and security operation in Adana: 66 wanted individuals captured, 2,241 narcotic pills seized

A peace and security operation was carried out across the city by teams from the Adana Police Department. The operation, which involved 298 units and 1,607 personnel, also utilized 1 helicopter, 4 drones, and 4 trained detector dogs.

"66 wanted individuals captured"

Within the scope of the operation, GBT (General Information Gathering) checks were performed on 26 thousand 531 individuals, and 66 people wanted for various crimes were captured. Teams inspected 7 thousand 580 vehicles, resulting in 1 vehicle being banned from traffic and 1 stolen vehicle being recovered. During the inspections, a total of 1 million 245 thousand 144 TL in fines was issued to 45 vehicles.

"Weapons and narcotics seized"

The operations resulted in the seizure of 11 unlicensed pistols, 5 magazines, and 155 rounds of ammunition, 3 unlicensed shotguns and 18 cartridges, 2 cutting tools, 10.7 grams of cannabis, and 2 thousand 241 ecstasy pills.

"Legal action against business for gambling"

During the inspections, 15 public establishments were checked. Legal action was taken against 1 business and its owner for facilitating gambling, while 2 individuals caught gambling were issued a total of 23 thousand 208 TL in administrative fines.

Furthermore, 9 individuals identified as begging or selling goods at intersections were issued a total of 15 thousand 876 TL in administrative fines.
