Person struck by tram in Istanbul loses their life
According to the information received, a person was struck by a tram entering the Beyazıt station on the Kabataş-Bağcılar Tram Line.
Upon notification, police, medical, and fire department teams were dispatched to the area.
Checks performed by medical teams confirmed that the person who was struck by the tram had lost their life. The body of the male individual, whose identity has not yet been determined, was taken to the Council of Forensic Medicine following investigations.
Police teams are continuing their work regarding the incident.

STATEMENT FROM METRO ISTANBUL
Meanwhile, a statement regarding the incident was made on Metro Istanbul's social media account.
The statement said, "Due to a passenger jumping onto the tracks on the T1 Kabataş-Bağcılar Tram Line, services are being operated between the Kabataş-Sultanahmet and Yusufpaşa-Bağcılar stations."
In a second post made after the completion of the work at the station, it was noted that services had returned to normal.
