Poisoning incident at KYK dormitory: 113 people hospitalized
In Sinop, 113 students at a KYK girls' dormitory were admitted to the hospital after showing symptoms of poisoning. While the students were discharged after completing their treatment, an investigation into the incident has been launched.
In Sinop, 113 students staying at the Central KYK Girls' Dormitory, affiliated with the Credit and Dormitories Institution (KYK), were admitted to Sinop Atatürk State Hospital with complaints such as nausea, abdominal pain, mild fever, and vomiting. It was reported that the students were treated on an outpatient basis and discharged.
The Sinop Governor's Office announced that a judicial and administrative investigation has been launched following the incident. The statement from the Governor's Office included the following: "All of our students who were admitted to the hospital with suspected poisoning have been discharged. Water and food samples taken in relation to the incident have been sent for laboratory analysis," it stated.
