Police crackdown on motorcycle riders

In a joint operation conducted by the Alanya District Police Department's Traffic Inspection Bureau and the motorized 'Yunus' teams, criminal penalties were imposed on motorcycle riders who had gathered to race and were found to have modified or concealed their license plates to prevent them from being read.

Police crackdown on motorcycle riders

The Alanya District Police Department's Traffic Inspection Bureau and the motorized 'Yunus' teams have tightened inspections due to the recent increase in traffic accidents. Following a tip-off that unauthorized racing would take place from in front of the amphitheater in Dinek Neighborhood to the Avsallar neighborhood, teams were dispatched to the area during the evening hours.

25 RIDERS WERE PRESENT

During the inspection, a fine of 14 thousand TL was imposed on a rider using a folding license plate among the 25 motorcycle riders, while a total of 95 thousand 956 TL in fines was issued to 10 riders for offenses including driving without a license, driving with an insufficient license, and using modified exhaust systems.

8 MOTORCYCLES BANNED FROM TRAFFIC

Furthermore, during the inspections, 8 motorcycles were banned from traffic, and one motorcycle rider's license was permanently revoked by traffic teams. The motorcycles impounded in traffic were taken to the parking lot with the help of a tow truck.
