Police officer dies by suicide with service weapon
A traffic police officer serving in the Piraziz district of Giresun has died by suicide with his service weapon.
Emrah Sevim, who had been serving as a traffic police officer at the Piraziz District Police Department since 2020, died by suicide with his service weapon at his home in the morning hours.
Medical teams dispatched to the scene upon notification discovered Sevim's lifeless body.
Sevim's body was taken to the forensic medicine institution, and an investigation into the incident has been launched.
It was learned that police officer Emrah Sevim, who was registered to the population of the Mesudiye district of Ordu, was considered an exemplary member of the police force and had no known bad habits.
