According to the information obtained, the fire started around 09:49 in the rural area of Badınca neighborhood. Following the report of the fire, General Directorate of Forestry teams were quickly dispatched to the region. The first intervention to the fire was made at 10:02.
To bring the fire under control, 4 aircraft, 2 helicopters, 11 fire trucks, 3 water supply vehicles, and 2 bulldozers affiliated with the İzmir Regional Directorate of Forestry were dispatched and joined the extinguishing efforts.
While the wind occasionally increasing in intensity in the region makes the teams' intervention difficult, intense efforts are being made to prevent the fire from spreading to residential areas.
