Refused breathalyzer test: Fined 352 thousand liras and driver's license suspended for 5 years

The incident took place on Turizm Street in the Minarecik neighborhood.

According to the information obtained, teams from the Provincial Police Department's Traffic Inspection Branch, who were conducting routine alcohol checks on the street, stopped a car with the license plate 68 ES 357 due to suspicion.

The police, who suspected that the driver, Kemal Görkem Ç. (24), might be under the influence of alcohol based on his behavior after checking his license and registration, offered him a breathalyzer.

The driver's refusal to blow into the breathalyzer and the police teams' efforts to persuade him were captured on camera moment by moment. The driver, who kept the police teams busy for minutes and essentially led them on a chase, did not agree to blow into the breathalyzer under any circumstances.

Following this, the teams issued a total fine of 352 thousand 719 liras to the driver for 'refusing to take a breathalyzer test' and various other violations.

On the other hand, the driver's license was suspended for 5 years, and 40 points were deducted from his license. The vehicle was handed over to a relative who was called to the scene.
