Release decision in sexual abuse case involving 14-year-old child

A 6-page indictment was prepared for the crime of "qualified sexual abuse of a child" against A.B., F.A., M.A., O.B., and V.G., who were arrested in 2023 in Iğdır on charges of sexually assaulting 14-year-old B.A.

While a probation decision was issued for F.A., the fourth hearing of the case was held yesterday at the Iğdır 2nd High Criminal Court. The court ordered the release of O.B., V.G., M.A., and A.B.

B.A.'s mother and father reacted to the decision. Father Salih A. said, "The perpetrators are currently free. B.A. went to the police station herself and declared that these individuals had sexually abused her. After this incident, 5 people were caught. One was never caught. One of the suspects, B.Y., was never caught and is still walking around in Iğdır.

4 people were caught, and one was released on probation. They don't just have a case involving my daughter. They have many files for harassment, rape, and similar crimes. After my daughter dies, let no one cry, let no one come to offer condolences. They have killed me and my daughter right now. The perpetrators are currently free. I am requesting help from everyone. I call on everyone to support this case."

Mother Mercan A. said, "My son was an epilepsy patient. He was staying in intensive care. While I was dealing with him, I lost my daughter, whom I had taken out of school to look after her brother. When my son recovered, I was going to send my daughter back to school the following year.

While my daughter was staying at home, this gang trapped her.

They took my daughter's photos, threatened her, and abused her. While I was trying not to lose my epileptic son, I lost my daughter too. I want my daughter to be saved and the criminals to be punished."
