Report in Diyarbakır puts teams on high alert
Teams were dispatched to a building on 402nd Street in the Mevlana Halit neighborhood of Diyarbakır's Bağlar district after residents reported hearing noises, leading to the evacuation of the building.
According to information obtained, an emergency response process was initiated after citizens reported feeling tremors in the apartment building to the authorities.
While risk analyses were being conducted for the 5-story, 10-apartment building constructed in 1982, the residents were evacuated. During the evacuation process, residents who did not want to leave were persuaded by the teams through warnings.
AFAD, medical teams, police, Bağlar and Metropolitan Municipality municipal police teams, and firefighters arrived at the scene in a short time and increased security measures in the area. While rescue teams stood by around the building, the safety of the citizens was prioritized, and work continues against potential risks around the apartment.
On the other hand, Bağlar District Governor Necdet Özdemir, who arrived at the scene, received information from the teams that carried out the evacuation of the building residents. It was stated that the apartment residents would be accommodated outside the building until the risk analysis is completed.
