While 58 percent of the calls received by the Edirne 112 Emergency Call Center consist of unnecessary calls, the requests of the callers are truly "unbelievable."

Those who call 112 to reach 'Rıza Baba' from the TV series Arka Sokaklar, those who call an ambulance to a cemetery saying there are many dead, those who request an ambulance for their sick animal, those who want to order doner kebab and ayran because they are hungry, those who think about having their spouse followed, those who demand that their partner with whom they are arguing be called by 112, and those who call an emergency response team to the front of their house for their child's birthday surprise have left staff speechless.

112 Emergency Call Center call handler Şeyma Nur Mantar said that citizens around the cemetery call 112 as a prank and report, "There are many dead here." Explaining that people who want their spouses followed also call 112, Şeyma Nur Mantar stated that people who cannot reach their partners make reports and demand that their partners be called.

WANTED TO BE CONNECTED TO 'RIZA BABA'

Call handler Mehmet Hanifi Bayar said that those who want to order food call 112. Explaining that a citizen called 112 the other day to 'order 2 doner kebabs and 2 ayrans', Bayar also revealed that people who want to reach Rıza Soylu, who plays the 'Rıza Baba' character in the Arka Sokaklar series, also call 112.

Call handler Şebnem Yazıcıoğlu explained that citizens whose animals are sick call 112 and request an ambulance. Another call handler, Recep Kaşan, said that they receive many calls from people whose phones are broken and that they explain the process for how to get them repaired.

THERE IS A FINE OF 1,980 LIRA

Edirne 112 Emergency Call Center Manager İsmail Öztuna called for the call center not to be called except for emergencies and said that an administrative fine of 1,980 lira is imposed on those who make false reports.
