Retired police officer found shot in the head: Called his son saying 'I am unwell'
In Sakarya, a retired Chief Inspector was found in his home with a gunshot wound to the head. The Chief Inspector, who was rushed to the hospital, could not be saved despite all interventions and lost his life.
The incident occurred in the Erenler district. According to allegations, retired Chief Inspector Y.S. (76) called his son, Deniz S., on the phone and informed him that he was not feeling well and was unwell.
Upon his father's call, Deniz S. arrived at the residence, found his father shot in the head, and reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center.
Following the report, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. Y.S., who was taken to Sakarya Training and Research Hospital (SEAH) after initial intervention by medical teams at the scene, could not be saved despite all interventions and lost his life.
The retired chief inspector's body was taken to the morgue for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
