Retired teacher falls off cliff while roasting eggplants

According to the information obtained, retired teacher İbrahim Ş. (63), who lives in the Uydukent housing complex, went to the hilly area right next to his house to roast the eggplants he had bought from the market.

İbrahim Ş., who started roasting the eggplants by digging a fire pit in an area with dry grass, soon lost control of the fire he had lit. The flames, which spread to the surroundings due to the wind, ignited the dry grass. Noticing the fire, İbrahim Ş. panicked and fell down a 25-meter cliff from where he was standing.

İbrahim Ş., who was injured in his head and various parts of his body, was rescued by fire and medical teams who arrived at the scene upon the notification of neighborhood residents who witnessed the incident.

The fire was brought under control before it could spread to the scrubland thanks to the rapid intervention of the teams. It was learned that the retired teacher was taken to the hospital by ambulance and remains in critical condition.
