The incident occurred at around 20:30 in an apartment in the Esenler neighborhood. According to reports, relatives who could not reach the couple, Serpil Özlem (62) and Ferruh Argüden (64), went to their home.

Upon entering the house, the relatives found the lifeless bodies of the Argüden couple in the bedroom.

Police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene following the report.

Initial investigations by the teams determined that Ferruh Argüden shot his wife in the chest with a pump-action shotgun, killing her, and then committed suicide by shooting himself with the same weapon.

The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
