Ring road closed to traffic again due to fire
The ring road in the Osmaneli district of Bilecik has been closed to traffic again following a forest fire that led to the evacuation of 4 villages.
Last night, the Bilecik-Osmaneli-Sakarya ring road was closed in one direction as a precautionary measure, and vehicles were diverted to the Osmaneli town center.
While traffic returned to normal on the road in the following hours, flames began to rise again in the afternoon in the village of Kazancı.
As water tankers and firefighting helicopters were dispatched to the region, the road was closed to traffic in the same direction as a precautionary measure.
ISTANBUL-ANTALYA FLOW DIVERTED TO THE OLD ROAD
Tayfun Uysal stated that there is traffic congestion at the Dörtyol location in the Osmaneli town center, saying, "About an hour and a half ago, the Istanbul-Antalya flow was diverted to the old road. On the other side, there is a serious fire in the area of Osmaneli Castle. The fire continues along the edges of the ring road."
Meanwhile, it was observed that ash was practically raining from the sky in the town center due to the fire.
