School principal assaulted in Kozan
A school principal who was assaulted in the Kozan district of Adana has been taken to the hospital.
The incident occurred on Şehit Hüseyin Soydan Street in the Karacaoğlan neighborhood of the district.
According to allegations, while he was on his way home, an unidentified individual approached Levent Tetik, the principal of Kozan Mehmet Akif Ersoy High School, and asked, "Teacher, do you recognize me?"
The individual then attacked and began beating Tetik. The assailant fled the scene on foot.
Upon receiving a report, medical teams arrived at the scene and transported the principal by ambulance to the Kozan State Hospital Emergency Department. Tetik was discharged following his treatment.
It was learned that in his statement, Principal Tetik said he was in good health and did not know the individual.
Police teams have launched an investigation to apprehend the person who assaulted the principal.
