Search efforts continue for 10-year-old Toprak, who went missing at sea in Giresun
Search efforts for 10-year-old Toprak Derme, who entered the sea to cool off in Giresun, continue for the second day. While father Celal Derme remains under treatment at the hospital, a team of 111 personnel is conducting searches at sea and along the shore.
Search operations have resumed off the coast of the Çıtlakkale neighborhood, where Derme went missing, and along the beach, involving 111 personnel—including 26 divers—from the AFAD Provincial Directorate, the Giresun Municipality Fire Department, the Coast Guard, and the Giresun and Ordu Police Departments, utilizing 7 marine vessels.

The sea and coastline were also scanned using a Coast Guard helicopter and drones.

Meanwhile, the treatment of the father, Celal Derme, who faced the danger of drowning in the same incident, continues at the Giresun Prof. Dr. İlhan Özdemir State Hospital.
