Second act in the Israel protest that ended in a beating: AKP figures at the opening
Dr. Kemal Sağlam, a lecturer at Artvin Çoruh University who protested against Israel at the opening ceremony of a Burger King branch in Rize, was attacked by citizens present at the event. It has emerged that AKP figures were also present at the burger restaurant where the beating took place.
It was stated that Sağlam, who went to the hospital after the beating, suffered a broken nose, a ruptured eardrum, and signs of battery on various parts of his body.

It was learned that AKP district mayors Saffet Mete and Musa Süreyya Balcı, as well as businessman Abdürrahim Albayrak, were inside the Burger King located in a shopping mall in Rize's Merkez Çarşı neighborhood when Dr. Kemal Sağlam, a lecturer at the Faculty of Art and Design at Artvin Çoruh University, was attacked while staging a protest against Israel.
