Semi-truck overturns on TEM Highway in Büyükçekmece
A semi-truck lost control and crashed into barriers on the TEM Highway in Büyükçekmece, overturning in the process. The driver was injured in the accident, and the road, which was closed to traffic for a time, has been reopened under controlled conditions.
The accident occurred at approximately 21:30 on the TEM Highway in the Büyükçekmece section. According to the information obtained, the semi-truck with license plate 34 DPD 634, driven by M.O. and traveling from Çatalca toward Istanbul, lost control and struck the barriers.
The truck swerved and overturned due to the impact. Upon notification, police, fire, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured truck driver was taken to the hospital by ambulance after receiving initial treatment at the scene.
Traffic on the Istanbul-bound direction of the TEM Highway came to a complete standstill due to the accident. After the overturned truck was removed and road cleaning efforts were completed, traffic flow was resumed under controlled conditions. Police teams have launched an investigation into the accident.
