Sentence announced for sexual abuse of 15-year-old girl
The defendant, who was accused of holding a 15-year-old girl captive and sexually abusing her in a parking booth inside a park in Samsun, has been sentenced to 12 years and 11 months in prison.
In the incident that took place at a parking lot in Anneler Park in the Rasathane neighborhood of the İlkadım district, it is alleged that 15-year-old B.E.C., who was sitting in the park in the evening, asked parking attendant Y.S. (26) for a charger when her mobile phone battery died.
After plugging the phone in to charge, Y.S. invited the child into the booth, locked the door, and covered the windows with plastic bags. Held captive in the booth for approximately 5 hours, B.E.C. sent a message to her friends from her mobile phone to ask for help. Police arrived at the scene following the report from her friends and rescued the child.
Taken into custody, Y.S. was arrested by the court and sent to prison.
In the case heard at the Samsun 1st High Criminal Court, the defendant was sentenced to a total of 12 years and 11 months in prison, with 5 years and 3 months for the crime of 'sexual abuse' and 6 years and 8 months for the crime of 'deprivation of liberty'.
The court also decided that the defendant's detention shall continue.
