Service minibus hits mother and son in Esenyurt

The incident occurred around 17:00 in Talatpaşa Neighborhood, 1004 Street in Esenyurt. According to the information obtained, the service minibus driver, N.A. (58), struck the mother, S.K. (33), and her one-year-old son, A.K., who were walking on the street while he was driving. The young child lost his life in the tragic accident, while the mother was seriously injured. Citizens who witnessed the incident notified the police and medical teams. 

The mother, lying injured on the ground, broke hearts with her cries of "Where is my son?" Medical teams arriving at the scene transported the mother, S.K., to the hospital after initial intervention. The driver was taken into custody by police teams. The driver, N.A., who suffered a nervous breakdown following the shock at the police station, was taken to Beylikdüzü State Hospital for treatment.

Police teams conducted an investigation at the scene. Following the examination, the child's lifeless body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy.

The treatment of the mother and the driver, who suffered a nervous breakdown, continues at the hospital. The investigation launched by the police into the accident is ongoing.
