Tülin Batmaz, who became a symbol of the İzmir earthquake by establishing a foundation in the name of her 15-year-old twins, Sayra and Çınar, whom she lost in the disaster, and extending a helping hand to thousands of children, has lost her brother in a traffic accident in Sivas.
According to the information obtained, the accident occurred in the Ziyaret locality of the Gürün district. The Suzuki-brand vehicle with license plate 35 CLS 902, driven by Ferhat Batmaz and traveling from Malatya toward Kayseri, veered into the ditch and overturned.

Ferhat Batmaz lost his life at the scene of the accident, while his sister Tülin Batmaz and one other person in the vehicle were seriously injured. The treatment of Tülin Batmaz, who was taken to Sivas Cumhuriyet University Hospital, is ongoing.
