The Ministry of Health has launched an investigation into a nurse who set up a camera to film herself crying for content following a school attack in Kahramanmaraş, and who subsequently closed her social media accounts following the backlash.
Following a school attack in Kahramanmaraş that left 1 teacher and 9 students dead, along with the attacker, a healthcare worker identified as H.B. drew backlash on social media due to a post she made.
An administrative investigation has been launched by the Ministry of Health regarding the nurse.
According to the information obtained, H.B., who works as a nurse within the Kahramanmaraş Provincial Health Directorate, produced content after the school attack by sobbing in front of a mobile phone she had set up in her vehicle.
H.B., who shared the content she produced on her social media accounts, made a second post following intense criticism, in which she criticized those who had attacked her, saying, "Do not be this evil, do not be this disgusting."
Following the mounting backlash, the Ministry of Health launched an administrative investigation into H.B. H.B. has since closed her social media accounts to access.
