Snow depth exceeds 15 centimeters in Sarıkamış

The snowfall, which began with a sudden drop in temperatures, intensified starting from the night hours. In Sarıkamış, trees, vehicles, and rooftops were covered in snow, creating postcard-worthy scenes throughout the district.

Due to the heavy snowfall, there were occasional disruptions in transportation in the town center and on surrounding village roads. While highway and municipal teams continued their efforts without interruption to keep the roads open, drivers were warned to be cautious.

"Winter has returned to Sarıkamış"

Residents of Sarıkamış expressed that the snowfall in April was surprising, but that they were accustomed to such weather conditions due to the region's harsh climate. Citizens stated, "We are approaching the end of April. However, the snowfall continues in Sarıkamış. There is heavy snowfall today as well. Just as we thought summer had arrived, winter has returned to Sarıkamış; everywhere has turned pure white. Winter has returned to Sarıkamış once again."

Meanwhile, it was reported that the cold wave affecting the region could last for a few more days and that precautions should be taken against frost and icing. While the snowfall has delayed spring conditions in Sarıkamış, there is curiosity about how the weather will progress in the coming days.
